Matt's note, June 2026
The white Mary took both recorded sales in this range in the year to June 2026, and white outselling grey is consistent with what I see in religious pieces generally. A pale figure reads clearly against evergreen, which is where most of these end up. Seven statues are in stock, £125 to £220. If you are building a grotto corner, plant the backdrop first and place the statue second. Ivy and yew take two seasons to close in; the statue takes an afternoon.
Seven figures, from 40cm to just over a metre. Classic grey cast stone, white finishes, and a Madonna and Child group are all in the range.
The range runs £125 to £220. The classic grey Mary starts at £125, the Madonna and Child is £149, and the white Mary is £220.
White stands out; grey settles in. Against dark evergreen a white figure is visible from across the garden. Grey cast stone gathers lichen and blends with age.
Yes, that is their most common use. Cast stone needs no upkeep and weathers gently. Raise the figure on a small plinth and frame it with evergreen for a lasting setting.
