About our garden pergolas
A louvred pergola is the closest thing to an adjustable roof over your patio. Our Norfolk Collection Nexus pergolas are powder-coated aluminium, 3m x 4m, with a rotating louvred roof you open and close by hand crank. Tilt the louvres for dappled shade, close them against a shower, or open them to the sky. Three mesh side screens, integrated warm and white LED lighting, and a remote keypad with USB charging are all included. Priced at £3,399 with free UK delivery, in anthracite grey or beige.
Prefer a fixed roof? Compare our cedar wooden gazebos and decorative metal gazebos, or the foldaway pop-up gazebos. The full gazebos range sits alongside these pergolas.
Why a louvred pergola earns its price
"A pergola like this changes how much you use the garden. A fixed gazebo gives you one setting. The Nexus gives you the lot, full sun with the louvres open, dappled shade at a tilt, and a closed roof when a shower rolls in. The side screens cut the wind and the low evening sun, and the built-in LEDs mean you are not running an extension lead out for light. At this size and spec it is a genuine outdoor room, and the aluminium will not rot or rust. It is a considered buy, not an impulse one.", Matt, Garden Ornaments
What you get with the Nexus pergola
Rotating louvred roof
Aluminium louvres rotate on a hand crank, so you control sun, shade and rain cover from one handle. A centralised roof support beam adds strength across the 4m span.
Three side screens
Front, rear and side mesh roller screens are included. They cut wind, low sun and insects, turning an open frame into a sheltered, usable room on three sides.
LED lighting and USB
Integrated LED strip lighting runs inside the frame in warm and white modes. A built-in remote keypad operates the lights and louvres and includes USB charging.
Two colour options
Choose anthracite grey or beige powder-coated aluminium to suit your patio and house. Both share the same 3m x 4m footprint, specification and price.
Expert tip: it needs a solid, level base
This pergola weighs about 185kg, so the base matters as much as the build. Fix it to a level concrete pad or a well-laid patio, never straight onto soft ground. The posts must be bolted down so the structure can take wind load through the screens and louvres. Plan your base before delivery, and allow space for the roof to drain. The pergola arrives in six cartons and a second person makes assembly far easier.

★ Matt's Pick, anthracite grey suits the most patios and hides marks well

Matt's pick: Nexus Pergola in greyBest For: A year-round outdoor room, the adjustable roof means you use the patio in any weather Why I Recommend It: "Both colours are identical in spec, so this comes down to looks. Anthracite grey works against almost any house and paving, and it hides dust and water marks better than the beige between cleans. The grey is the one most people are happiest with long term." Frequently asked questions
It is a pergola with an adjustable slatted roof. The aluminium louvres rotate to let in full sun, dappled light, or close completely against rain. You control them by hand crank. It gives you a roof you can change to suit the weather, unlike a fixed gazebo.
Yes, the closed louvres shed rain off the roof. When you crank the louvres shut they overlap to form a sealed surface that channels water away. Open or tilt them for sun and air. This is the main advantage over a fixed gazebo roof, you choose shelter or sky.
A solid, level concrete pad or patio is required. The pergola weighs about 185kg and the posts must be bolted down. A firm base lets the frame take wind load through the screens and louvres safely. Never install it on bare soil or an uneven surface.
Yes, it is a permanent aluminium structure. Powder-coated aluminium does not rust or rot, so it stays out through every season once bolted down. Open the louvres in winter to let snow and debris clear, and roll the screens up in high winds to reduce load.
A pergola has an adjustable roof; a gazebo has a fixed one. Our Nexus pergolas let you open, tilt or close the louvres on demand. A gazebo gives you one permanent roof, whether decorative metal, cedar, or pop-up fabric. Choose a pergola for flexibility, a gazebo for a set look.
Yes, both are included in the price. Each pergola comes with three mesh roller side screens and integrated LED strip lighting in warm and white modes. A remote keypad operates the lights and louvres and includes USB charging. There are no extras to buy to get the full setup.
