Choosing a gas patio heater

The best heater depends on the available space, preferred flame style and required heat output. Every model runs on propane gas. Most include the hose and regulator; both NOVA models offer the correct connection kit as an option. The cylinder is purchased separately.

Start with the footprint. Check the assembled width and depth against the intended position, leaving the clearances required by the manual.

Flame heaters or mushroom heaters?

A mushroom heater uses a burner beneath a broad reflector to spread heat around a seating area. The Capri range follows this familiar format and is the most compact choice in this collection.

Flame heaters make the flame part of the design. The Enders NOVA models add LED lighting in compact cylindrical bodies. Tahiti II uses a square pyramid frame, while Emporio has a rounded profile. Santorini combines a traditional reflector with a retractable body.

Positioning and using a gas patio heater

Use the heater outdoors in a well-ventilated area. Stand it on a firm, level surface away from busy walkways. Keep it clear of walls, planting, parasols, furniture and overhead materials by the distances stated in the supplied instructions.

Fit the correct propane cylinder and check connections as directed before lighting. Never move a lit or hot heater. Allow it to cool fully before storage, and follow the manufacturer's instructions for weather protection and cylinder handling.

Frequently asked questions

Do these patio heaters include a gas cylinder?

No, the propane cylinder is purchased separately. Most heaters include the connection kit. Both NOVA models offer it as an option.

Do the Enders NOVA heaters need a hose and regulator?

Yes, both NOVA heaters require the correct propane connection kit. The compatible hose and 27mm clip-on regulator are available as an option.

Which model is easiest to store?

The Santorini has a retractable body for a lower stored height. Its wheels also help with repositioning.

Can I use these heaters beneath a gazebo or pergola?

Only use a heater where the manual permits the planned position. Maintain every stated side and overhead clearance.

What is the difference between Tahiti II and Emporio?

Both are 13kW flame heaters with different body shapes. Tahiti II is pyramidal, while Emporio has a rounded profile.

Can a gas patio heater stay outside all year?

Follow the manufacturer's storage and weather-protection instructions. A cover does not replace correct storage or maintenance.
