About Our Water Feature Accessories
We carry 30 water feature accessories that cover every component you need for a new installation or a repair. The range breaks down into five categories: mains-powered pumps in seven flow rates from 450 to 2,500 litres per hour, one solar pump at 1,560 LPH, reservoir grids from 55cm to 115cm diameter, complete plastic reservoirs with fitted grids, and stainless steel waterfall blades. Polished pebbles in white, black, mixed, and red finish the installation. All accessories are compatible with our stone water features, modern water features, and self-contained water features.
"The single most common reason a water feature stops working is a failed pump. It is almost never the stone or the plumbing — it is the pump. We keep every flow rate in stock so you can have a replacement delivered next day rather than staring at a dry feature for a fortnight."

Types of Accessories We Offer
Mains Pumps
Seven models from 450 to 2,500 litres per hour. All run on 10-metre mains cables with multi-size hosetails (3/4" and 1"). Wattage ranges from 10W to 85W. The 1000 LPH model includes a built-in LED spotlight. Prices from 49 to 75.
Solar Pump
The 1,560 LPH solar pump runs without mains electricity. Includes a solar panel, 5-metre cable, and battery backup for cloudy spells. Delivers a 2.5-metre head — enough for medium stone features and drilled columns. Priced at 209.
Reservoir Grids
Eight heavy-duty grids from 55cm to 115cm diameter, plus a 70x70cm square option. These sit over a dug-out sump and support the weight of the stone feature above. Designed for features up to 150kg. Prices from 85 to 199.
Plastic Reservoirs with Grid
Five complete reservoir units from 52cm to 112cm diameter. Each includes the basin, fitted grid, and pump housing. Drop the unit into a hole, connect the pump, and cover with pebbles. No liner or brickwork needed. Prices from 35 to 339.
Waterfall Blades
Five stainless steel blades in 45cm, 60cm, and 90cm widths. Choose between 3cm lip (thin sheet of water) or 15cm lip (wider cascade). Wall-mounted with hidden fixings. Pair with a 1,500 LPH or higher pump. Prices from 89 to 219.
Polished Pebbles
Four colour options: white, black, mixed, and red. Each bag covers the top of a standard reservoir grid. These hide the mechanical components and give the water feature a finished, natural look. All priced at 35 per bag.
How to Match a Pump to Your Water Feature
The key measurement is delivery head — the vertical distance from the pump to the highest point water needs to reach. A 450 LPH pump delivers water to 1.6 metres. The 2,500 LPH pump reaches 3.5 metres. Most pebble pools and babbling bowls need 450–750 LPH. Drilled columns and spheres up to 60cm work well with 1,100 LPH. Larger stone features and anything over 80cm tall need 1,500 LPH or above. When in doubt, go one size up — all our pumps have adjustable flow control so you can dial back the output.

Matt's Pick for Most InstallationsBest For: Small to medium stone features, pebble pools, and drilled columns up to 60cm Why I Recommend It: The 1,100 LPH pump handles 90% of the features we sell. At 20 watts it costs about 1p per hour to run, the 10-metre cable reaches most outdoor sockets, and the adjustable flow means you can dial it back for gentler features. Price: £49 |
Installation Guide
Most water features need three components: a reservoir or sump, a pump, and surface dressing. Dig a hole slightly wider than your reservoir grid or plastic reservoir. Set the unit level in the hole. Place the pump inside the basin and thread the cable out to the nearest outdoor socket. Position the stone feature on top of the grid. Fill the reservoir with water, switch on, and adjust the flow. Cover exposed grid areas with polished pebbles. The entire installation takes 30 to 60 minutes with basic tools.
For waterfall blades, mount the blade to a wall or fence using the supplied fixings. Run a hose from the pump (positioned in a reservoir below) up the back of the wall to the blade inlet. Use a 1,500 LPH pump minimum for a 45cm blade, or 2,000 LPH for 60cm and 90cm blades.

Frequently Asked Questions
Match the pump's delivery head to the height of your feature. A 450 LPH pump suits pebble pools and features under 40cm. The 1,100 LPH handles most features up to 60cm tall. Anything taller than 80cm or with a wide cascade needs 1,500 LPH or above. All our pumps have adjustable flow control, so going one size up gives you room to fine-tune the water effect.
Between 0.3p and 2.5p per hour depending on the pump size. The 450 LPH pump draws 10 watts, costing roughly 0.3p per hour at current UK electricity rates. The 2,500 LPH pump draws 85 watts, costing around 2.5p per hour. Most customers run features 8 to 10 hours a day in summer, so even the largest pump costs under £10 per month.
The grid must be wider than the base of your water feature. Measure the widest point of the feature where it sits on the grid and add at least 10cm each side. A 60cm stone sphere needs a 79cm or 90cm grid. A drilled column with a 30cm base works on a 55cm grid. For heavy features over 100kg, use the larger grids for better weight distribution.
Yes, the 1,560 LPH solar pump works without mains electricity. It includes a solar panel, 5-metre cable, and battery backup for cloudy periods. The panel needs direct sunlight for full flow. Solar suits features in open, south-facing positions. For shaded gardens or features that need to run consistently regardless of weather, a mains pump is more reliable.
Not if you have an outdoor socket within 10 metres. All our mains pumps come with 10-metre cables and standard UK 3-pin plugs. Plug in and switch on. If you do not have an outdoor socket, a qualified electrician can install one — typically a half-day job. Never run an indoor extension lead outdoors.
A well-maintained pump lasts 2 to 4 years of continuous seasonal use. Clean the intake filter every two weeks in summer to prevent debris clogging the impeller. Drain and store the pump indoors over winter to prevent frost damage. If flow drops noticeably despite cleaning, the impeller is worn and the pump needs replacing. We stock every size for next-day delivery.
