About our metal gazebos
A metal gazebo is a decorative frame first and a shelter second. Every gazebo in this collection is ornate iron or powder-coated steel, built to stand in the garden all year as a feature for climbing roses, jasmine and fairy lights. The antiqued vintage designs suit cottage and period gardens, the pavilions add height and scrollwork, and the Avignon adds a waterproof canopy so you can actually sit under it in a shower. Prices run from £259 to £1,499, every one powder-coated with free UK delivery.
After a different style? See our cedar wooden gazebos, foldaway pop-up gazebos, and louvred pergolas. To train climbers up to the gazebo, add a matching garden arch. Compare every option in the full gazebos range.
Why we stock these
"Metal gazebos are about character. A wrought iron frame covered in roses is one of the prettiest things you can have in a garden, and it stays decorative even in winter when the planting dies back. The thing people forget is that most metal gazebos are open frames, beautiful, but you still get wet. That is why I always point anyone who wants real shelter towards the Avignon, which keeps the ornate frame and adds a proper waterproof canopy. Pick the open designs for plants, the Avignon for seating.", Matt, Garden Ornaments
The metal gazebos we offer
Vintage antiqued gazebos
Open iron frames in antiqued blue, cream and rusted finishes, ideal for climbing roses and clematis. Period scrollwork suits cottage gardens. The most affordable way into a metal gazebo, from £259.
Decorative pavilions
Taller, statement structures like the Blue Antiqued Pavilion, standing over 3 metres with intricate detailing. They draw the eye upward and anchor a planting scheme. Free-standing, no wall fixing needed. From £675.
Larger garden gazebos
Bigger footprints such as the Arcadia and Regal give a wider canopy of metalwork for mature climbers. They suit open lawns and larger borders where a small frame would be lost. From £665.
Canopied gazebos
The Avignon keeps the decorative metal frame and adds a waterproof canopy on top. It is the one metal gazebo you can sit under in the rain, so it works as real seating from spring to autumn. Priced at £1,499.
Expert tip: anchor it for the plants, not just the wind
A metal gazebo carrying a mature climber takes far more load than the bare frame suggests. Wet foliage after rain adds serious weight, and wind pushes against that planting like a sail. Bolt the legs down on a patio with the base plates, or concrete them at least 300mm deep in soft ground. Do this before you plant, not after. A well-anchored gazebo carries roses and wisteria for decades; a pegged-down one bows in the first storm.

Frequently asked questions
Mostly as a decorative frame for climbing plants. Open iron and steel gazebos give roses, clematis and jasmine a structure to grow up and over. They stay attractive all year, even when planting dies back. The canopied Avignon also works as covered seating, but the open designs are about display.
Yes, that is what the open frames are made for. The metalwork gives stems something to twine through and tie in to. Solid iron and steel handle the weight of a mature, wet climber without bowing. Anchor the legs properly first, as a fully planted gazebo catches the wind.
Only the canopied Avignon gives proper rain cover. Most metal gazebos in this range are open decorative frames, so they offer shade through planting rather than a solid roof. If you want to sit out in a shower, choose the Avignon with its waterproof canopy, or a cedar wooden gazebo.
Bolt the legs down or concrete them in. On a patio, use the base plates to bolt each leg to the slabs. On soft ground, set the legs at least 300mm deep in postcrete. Do this before planting climbers, because foliage and wind greatly increase the load on the frame.
The antiqued finish is a controlled, protective patina. These gazebos are powder-coated over the metal to resist corrosion. The vintage look is part of the design, not active rust eating the frame. The finish stays stable outdoors for years with no treatment or painting required.
A pavilion is simply a taller, more ornamental gazebo. Both are free-standing open structures. Our pavilions, like the Blue Antiqued, stand over 3 metres with extra height and scrollwork for impact. A gazebo tends to be lower and wider. The choice is about the look you want.
