About Our Stone Figurines

We stock over 125 stone figurines across seven styles: classical goddesses, romantic sculptures, fairy figurines, religious statues, Eastern figures, cherubs and angels, and character pieces. Most are handmade from a crushed marble and resin blend with a pure white alabaster finish, while others come in cast stone, granite, bronze, or verdigris. Sizes range from compact tabletop pieces to the 1550mm Diana the Hunter Extra Large at £439.

Stone figurines sit within our wider Stone Garden Statues collection. For larger pieces, browse our Large Stone Garden Ornaments range. Pair any figurine with a Stone Plinth or Stone Pedestal to add height and presence.

Why We Chose This Range

"We spent months testing figurines from different suppliers before settling on this collection. The crushed marble blend from Enigma gives a finish that genuinely looks and feels like carved stone, but it's frost-proof and a fraction of the weight. I've had a Diana in my own garden for three years and the alabaster finish still looks as good as day one. These aren't flimsy resin copies — they're proper garden sculptures at an honest price."

Placement Tip

Classical figures look best on a plinth or pedestal at a pathway endpoint, creating a natural focal point. Romantic sculptures work well in pairs flanking a garden bench. Fairy figurines belong at ground level among planting where visitors spot them unexpectedly. For detailed positioning advice, read our guide to positioning garden ornaments.

Matt's Installation Tip

Crushed marble figurines are lighter than solid stone, but the larger pieces (800mm+) still need a stable base. If you're placing one on a lawn, set it on a 450mm paving slab sunk flush with the grass to stop it sinking or leaning after rain. For patio placement, check the surface is level before positioning — these statues look wrong at even a slight tilt.

If you want to mount a figurine on a plinth, use a thin bead of exterior-grade clear adhesive between the base and the plinth top. It holds the piece securely without visible fixing marks and is easy to remove later with a palette knife if you want to rearrange.

Diana the Hunter Garden Statue Large

Matt's Pick for Stone Figurines

Best For: A classical centrepiece that turns heads without breaking the budget

Why I Recommend It: The Diana the Hunter Large stands 850mm tall in pure white alabaster. The detail on the bow and flowing robes is the best I've seen in a crushed marble figure at this price. It looks like carved stone but weighs half as much, which makes positioning much easier. Pair it with one of our stone plinths and you've got a genuine statement piece.

Crushed marble figurines keep their white alabaster finish for years with minimal care. A rinse with clean water once or twice a year is enough to remove surface dust. If green algae builds up in damp weather, use a soft brush and diluted washing-up liquid. Avoid pressure washers — they can damage fine details on faces and hands. For full care instructions, read our stone ornament care guide.

If you prefer an aged, weathered look, our guide on how to age a garden statue covers yoghurt, buttermilk, and paint techniques. For winter protection, read our frost protection guide. Need help choosing the right material? Our stone vs resin comparison breaks down the differences.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are crushed marble figurines frost-proof?

Yes, all our crushed marble figurines are guaranteed frost-proof. The marble and resin blend does not absorb water, so there is no risk of cracking when temperatures drop below freezing. Unlike natural stone which can be porous, the resin binding seals the material completely. We guarantee every piece for year-round outdoor display in UK weather.

What is the difference between crushed marble and cast stone?

Crushed marble gives a smoother finish with finer detail than cast stone. Crushed marble figurines use ground marble bonded with resin, producing a smooth alabaster-like surface ideal for classical faces and flowing robes. Cast stone uses a cement-based aggregate that gives a more textured, rustic appearance. Both are frost-proof. Crushed marble is lighter, cast stone develops more natural moss and lichen over time.

How tall are the largest stone figurines?

The largest figurine is 1550mm tall — the Diana the Hunter Extra Large. This is over 5 feet and creates a commanding garden focal point. Other large pieces include the Cleopatra at 1200mm and the Extra Large Hebe Goddess at a similar scale. For smaller spaces, we stock figurines from around 300mm upwards. Every product page shows exact dimensions in millimetres.

Do stone figurines need a plinth or pedestal?

No, but a plinth adds height and visual impact. All our figurines have flat bases and stand securely on any level surface — paving, decking, or a sunken paving slab on a lawn. Adding a stone plinth raises the figurine to eye level, which works particularly well for classical pieces with detailed faces. We stock plinths from 300mm to 900mm tall that pair with any figurine in this range.

How much do stone figurines cost?

Stone figurines range from £99 for entry-level pieces to £499 for premium statues. The Friar and Victorian Girl start at £99. Mid-range classical figures like the David and Hebe Goddess sit between £145 and £210. Larger statement pieces including Diana the Hunter Extra Large (£439), Flora Large (£495), and Isabella (£499) anchor the top end. All prices include Free UK Delivery.

What finishes are available?

Five main finishes: white alabaster, bronze, verdigris, pewter, and natural granite. Most classical and romantic figurines come in pure white alabaster as standard. Many designs are also available in bronze or verdigris for an antique look. The Infinite Love series offers all three colour options. Eastern pieces like the Meditating Monk and Ganesha come in natural granite, and the Laughing Buddha in a striking red finish.

How do I clean a white alabaster figurine?

Rinse with clean water and a soft cloth once or twice a year. The smooth alabaster surface resists dirt buildup better than textured stone. If green algae appears in damp weather, use a soft brush with diluted washing-up liquid and rinse thoroughly. Never use a pressure washer on figurines — the high-pressure water can chip fine details on faces, hands, and flowing fabric. Stubborn marks come off with a nylon brush and warm soapy water.
