The Large Armillary on Baluster Stone Garden Pedestal pairs a brass reproduction astrolabe with a classically proportioned baluster plinth. At 1320mm tall, it creates a striking focal point in any established garden.
Each pedestal is individually cast in reconstituted stone. The casting process captures fine decorative detail and gives the surface an aged appearance from day one. Over time, moss and lichen colonise the stone naturally.
The brass armillary sits securely on the flat pedestal cap. Its interlocking rings and arrow gnomon catch the light throughout the day. The brass develops a rich patina with outdoor exposure.
Available in two colourways: Aged Cotswold (a warm, honey-toned stone) and Burnt Umber (a deeper, earthier shade). Both suit traditional and cottage garden settings equally well.
At 83kg combined weight, the pedestal and armillary are exceptionally stable. No additional fixing is required on a level surface. We recommend placing on a paved or flagstone area for the best presentation.
